Black Popular Culture

Fashion is mythical. Fashion is almost like a fantasy that we place in our minds to abide by. I feel there is no such thing as "black popular culture." Fashion has no certain taste nor does fashion have a certain group or race that it targets. Fashion is segregated as to what race wears what and how the race wears it. It better terms I've heard people say that the preppy look is for white people and the thuggish look is for black people. I myself didn't quite think on it til now how these stereotypes originated through segregation and how we as humans are forced to dress a certain way to fit how our race likes and wants to dress. If some people don't fit into how their race dress just because they want to be different they get downed for it. Black Popular Culture is what Africans Americans show because we can take a style, put our own twist into it, and make it look totally different and stylish. Why does it have to be known as a popular race culture?
